Founded in 1959, Corpus Christi Catholic School has been serving the educational needs of children and families for over sixty years. The PreKindergarten through 8th grade school, located in southwest Houston, was designated a U.S. Department of Education Blue Ribbon School in 1990.
A multi-sensory approach to teaching addresses the individual learning styles of all students.
Corpus Christi Catholic School is fully accredited by the Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops Education Department (TCCB ED), which is recognized by the Texas Education Agency. TCCB ED is responsible for the accreditation process for Catholic schools in Texas. As the organization charged with the implementation of the accreditation process, TCCB ED has established standards by which all Catholic schools will be accredited.
Further assisting in the accreditation process is the Texas Catholic Conference Bishops Accreditation Commission (TCCB AC). This organization is comprised of 6 Catholic school superintendents of Texas, 6 educational consultants, and 2 bishops. TCCB AC is charged with setting up the operational procedures and planning for the accreditation process, reviewing school compliance, and reporting of accreditation status. Catholic schools in Texas renew their accreditation status every seven years. Corpus Christi Catholic School last renewed its accreditation in 2022, with an outstanding report.
