Students study world cultures, art history, a variety of art forms, and techniques. Mediums of clay, paint, sculpture, collage and drawing develop artistic expression and promote creativity. Student artwork is proudly displayed throughout the campus and entered into area competitions. Art is offered in the elementary curriculum and as an elective for grades 6 – 8.
Bravo School of Music is offered on campus! Along with ensuring all scholars receive the necesary skills to play their chosen instrument correctly, Bravo will also oversee the progress of each individual and group. Scholars will have an opportunity to play solo and small ensembles, as well as perform with a large ensemble. In the spring, Bravo assembles all band students, from all Bravo band programs and perform together, as one band, at Strake Jesuit High School.

Often seen as the focal point of the campus, the library is available to all students. The librarian is available to assist students with research and checking out of books. The school’s collection of over 3000 books, CD’s, and more, are catalogued on-line for easy reference. An annual Book Fair helps to provide funds for additions to this fine collection of quality children’s literature and historical classics.
Students gain the necessary skills and confidence to perform in theatrical productions. They learn about critical backstage responsibilities and begin learning about lighting, sound and set design necessary for dramatic productions. Public speaking and performance skills are also introduced. This class is usually responsible for presenting two performances throughout the school year.
Students gain a basic knowledge of music, dance, and movement with the opportunity to perform in a variety of student presentations for Grandparents Day, Christmas and the Spring Program. Music is offered as an integral part of the Kindergarten – 5th grade curriculum. Music is also offered as a Middle School elective.
Students in PreK3 through 8th learn Spanish in our challenging Calico Spanish program consisting of sight words, music and storytelling. Our program, which incorporates reading, writing and oral proficiencies, aids scholars to grasp and retain the language at an early age.
Our Middle School program begins with the CI Masterclass program which fully immerses our scholars into the Spanish language. Scholars complete Spanish based projects that include scholar interviews, telenovelas and writing a Spanish novel.
Discover the exciting world of publishing and journalism! An annual yearbook is published by the students, who photograph events and people at school, and then tell the story of the year in their own words and photos. Students are enriched by the experience gained producing a quality product with their computer skills. Each year the yearbook staff is excited to learn about and share all the “happenings” of Corpus Christi Catholic School.
Pre-Covid 19: In the Prep Bowl elective, middle school students examine general knowledge of math, science, language and history. The class prepares for competitions held throughout the school year at various high schools.
Pre-Covid 19: Use your time and talent to assist the prek through 5th grade teachers in various ways such as filing papers, cutting, reading with students, etc. This experience will prove to be valuable for the middle school scholar as well as the elementary student.
This course is designed for scholars who are committed to being in shape and healthy. Scholars will focus on cardio, strength and endurance training exercises.
This course is for the scholar who loves nature! Scholars will garden and nurture the plant life in the conservation site. In addition, time will be allotted to work with elementary students on their cylinder gardens.
This class will help eighth grade students prepare for the upcoming high school entrance exam. Students will be introduced to both content and format of the test in an effort to enhance their test taking savvy. They will practice skills necessary to be successful on the entrance exam. Skills will benefit students regardless of their choice of high school(s).
A fun and interactive programming course in which you’ll learn how to code games, program drawings and animations. If you’re a creative thinker with a “can do” attitude, then this is the course for you!
The most established of all the organizations within Corpus Christi Catholic School is the National Jr. Honor Society (NJHS). Joining this group is your opportunity to develop the habits and standards so important to success in the future. Notable events are the induction ceremonies, and volunteer opportunities, such as Safety Patrol.
