Our Early Childhood classes offer a full-day program that are designed to create self-motivated, responsible learners within a developmentally appropriate curriculum. Our early childhood program enhances the spiritual, social, intellectual, and physical development of each child.
Children participate in daily “circle time” including opening prayer and Pledge of Allegiance. In all levels, there are multiple basic learning stations including dramatic play, blocks, library, math, language arts, science, listening center, and art. Each day, the children work in small groups with the teacher at the lesson table. The teacher reads and works on phonemic awareness activities. Math lessons are also taught in small groups. Science Social Studies, Health and Spanish are whole group lessons with hands-on activities. Students have a quiet time each day to rest or nap.
Our Early Childhood program encourages parental involvement and communication. To foster a partnership between parents and teacher, parents are encouraged to participate in ongoing activities within the established routines, special events, field trips, and parties. A weekly newsletter is delivered each Friday to inform parents of the upcoming week’s activities and objectives.
