I pray that this message finds everyone safe and well. The devastation that has hit our city and surrounding areas is surreal. Several of our Corpus families have experienced personal loss and there's no doubt that we have all been affected in some way. I certainly can't predict the future, but what I do know is that we serve a faithful God. He is our deliverer and we can trust in Him. "...call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me." (Psalm 50:15, NIV)
As safety is our top priority, Corpus Christi Catholic School will remain closed until Tuesday, September 5th, to allow families and faculty to stay safe and tend to personal business. We will continue to pray for one another's safety; physically, spiritually and emotionally. If you know of any community members in particular need at this time, please let me know, as Father Tom is adding names to the prayer list. As a community, we will survive this together.
"Father, today we're calling on You. We trust that even in our darkest hour, You are our light of hope. Give us Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Bring order and restoration. Heal this land as Your people come together and call upon You in Jesus' name. Amen."
God bless,
Mazie McCoy
