Middle School English & Language Arts

Hello! My name is Laura Forner, and I am the Middle School ELA teacher here at Corpus Christi. The 23-24 school year is my second year of teaching. I received my Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from Southern Utah University, but God called me to teach! I have exclusively taught in Catholic schools and have no plans to go anywhere else. Being able to combine my two passions – learning and my faith – into my everyday life and career is something I am so thankful to be able to do. 
My dog and I are recent transplants to Houston from Utah, and I love the weather, big city benefits, and proximity to the beach. I'm here to stay! I love all things books and am so excited to be able to share that with my students. 
Above all, as a teacher, I seek to foster a love of words in my students through daily reading and writing. Watching students gain the skills and confidence they need to be successful is truly the biggest blessing in my life.
